Service Description

Book a private 60-minute Yin yoga session online or in Amsterdam with a Yoga Alliance-registered teacher. This focused one-to-one session is centred on an individually adapted Yin yoga practice. Positions are selected according to the participant’s anatomy, mobility, comfort, experience and present physical, mental and emotional state rather than following a fixed sequence. Yin yoga is a slow-paced practice in which positions may be held for approximately five to seven minutes to apply moderate, appropriate stress to connective tissues such as the fascia, tendons and ligaments. Each position is approached slowly and without forcing, and is held only for as long as feels suitable for the individual. Props may be used to support the body. The practice may include general Yin positions for holistic wellbeing while giving particular attention to personal concerns, current needs and areas that would benefit from gentle focus. Above all, the session respects each person’s unique anatomy and how they feel in that moment. There is no other person exactly like you, and no two sessions need to be the same. In traditional energetic understanding, meridian pathways are associated with the fascia and wider energy system. The selected positions may therefore also be approached with awareness of energetic flow, alongside their physical effects on the connective tissues. Breath awareness and a short meditation may be included to support stillness, presence and observation. Cosmoenergy channels, personalised visualisation or hypnotic affirmations tailored specifically to current needs may also be incorporated where appropriate. Alternatively, the main focus of the full 60-minute session may remain on the physical Yin positions. No previous yoga experience or high level of flexibility is required. It is also completely acceptable not to know beforehand what to focus on. The practice can begin with a brief conversation and develop according to what is observed in the body, mind and energy during the session. The 60-minute option is most suitable for a focused, pose-led private practice. The 90-minute session offers more time for extended breathwork, meditation, higher-consciousness visualisation or a session in which Yin poses are secondary or not included. Yin yoga, meditation, visualisation, hypnotic affirmations and Cosmoenergy do not replace medical or psychological diagnosis, necessary treatment or emergency care.
