Beyond the Pose: Breath, Stillness and Higher Consciousness
Welcome to a space where time slows down and your breath leads the way.
Here, Yin Yoga is more than a collection of positions—it is an invitation to turn inward. Whether you feel restless, caught in continuous thought or simply curious about what becomes possible in stillness, the practice begins exactly where you are.
Breathwork, meditation and higher-consciousness visualisation may form the heart of the session, with Yin positions used as supportive tools rather than goals that must be achieved. Sometimes several positions are helpful. Sometimes one is enough. At other times, the physical poses may not be needed at all.
Functional Yin Yoga Adapted to Your Body
Experience Behind the Practice
Dorit is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher and completed a rigorous 1.5-year, 200-hour Functional Yin Yoga teacher training in Amsterdam.
Her learning extended far beyond the required training. She attended more than 50 classes with her principal teacher and explored over 50 additional classes with different teachers and approaches across Amsterdam. This gave her the opportunity to experience many ways of teaching, observe different bodies and understand where standard instructions may not suit the individual person.
Dorit also studied Northern Thai massage, deepening her understanding of the relationship between assisted movement, pressure points, energy lines, Indian yoga principles and Buddhist presence.
This foundation remains essential. Every body has its own skeletal structure, proportions, mobility and history. A position that feels spacious and natural for one person may be unsuitable for another. Positions are therefore adapted to the actual body present in the session—not to an ideal image of how yoga is supposed to look.
Knowledge of anatomy, fascia, tendons, ligaments and meridian pathways stays quietly in the background, helping the practice remain gradual, functional and non-forcing.
Returning to Yoga Before It Became Performance
In Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, yoga is not presented as an endless collection of increasingly complicated postures. Asana is described through steadiness and ease—a position from which breathing, concentration and meditation can become possible.
Modern yoga is often associated with physical achievement, elaborate shapes and increasingly acrobatic movement.
Yet many people still find it difficult to sit comfortably, breathe naturally or remain present for even a few minutes. The body may be active while the mind continues running without rest.
Dorit’s approach returns to the deeper purpose of yoga: allowing tension to soften, quietening unnecessary mental activity, becoming conscious of the breath and rediscovering inner stillness.
This is not yoga as performance or destination. What matters is whether the body can settle without force. When the body is properly supported, breathing may become more conscious, mental activity may begin to quieten and meditation can become more accessible.
Only from stillness may something further become available.
Continue this exploration through Nisargadatta Maharaj’s teachings on timeless peace, formless awareness and meditation.
Higher-Consciousness Yin Yoga: Earth Portals, Cosmic Rays and Visualisation
Beyond breath and physical stillness, a session may open into higher-consciousness visualisations, heart-centred awareness, cosmic higher-frequency rays and channels, angelic frequencies or other energies that feel especially relevant at that moment.
These experiences are not inserted according to a fixed script. It may not be known beforehand which frequency, image or practice will feel most significant. The session unfolds through breathing, feeling, visualisation, awareness and direct observation.
Without leaving the mat, the practice may also explore connection with the energetic portals of the Earth - energy centres that can be approached through focused awareness rather than physical travel. Dorit explores this understanding more deeply in the Earth Chakras Map article.
This is where Yin may become something more than stretching or relaxation. It creates a quiet space in which consciousness can be witnessed beyond continuous thought, and in which a frequency relevant to the soul may become easier to recognise.
In-Person Yin Yoga in Amsterdam with Crystals and Singing Bowl
During in-person sessions in Amsterdam, a crystal, mantra or singing bowl may be incorporated when relevant to the practice.
Ancient mantras may be included to gather the restless mind into single-pointed focus.
A crystal may be chosen intuitively and used as a focus for meditation, energetic awareness or personalised hypnotic affirmations.
A singing bowl may also be used for an energetic chakra check-in, followed by the co-creation of a practice intended to bring attention to what feels less balanced.
Not every element is used in every session. The practices are selected according to what is relevant for the person, the present state and the natural direction of the session.
Dorit’s Yin Yoga can also be used to release the need to prove or validate what may already be quietly known within. It is an invitation to stop striving, remain present and discover what becomes available when the body is no longer being pushed and the mind is no longer continuously occupied by the same repetitive patterns.
If continuous stimulation or digital overload makes it difficult to turn inward, explore Return to Inner Peace, Awareness and Empowerment in the Digital Age.
Dorit's yin lesson is a space to breathe, become still, observe honestly and experience what may reveal itself.
Individually Adapted Positions
Each session considers anatomy, mobility, comfort, experience and current needs. Props and variations may be used to support the body, allowing the practice to remain gradual and non-forcing.
No previous yoga experience or high level of flexibility is required. The purpose is not to push the body into an ideal position, but to find a version that is appropriate for the person practising at that moment.
Fascia, Connective Tissue and Meridian Awareness
Yin positions may be held for several minutes - often approximately five to seven minutes when appropriate - to apply moderate, individually suitable stress to connective tissues such as fascia, tendons and ligaments.
The duration and intensity are always adapted according to the position, the participant’s anatomy and how the body responds.
In traditional energetic understanding, meridian pathways are associated with the fascia and wider energy system. Yin positions may therefore be approached with awareness of both the physical body and energetic flow.
Cosmoenergy and Hypnotic Guidance in Private Yin Yoga
The sustained positions create space for breath awareness, stillness, observation and meditation.
Individual voice guidance and hypnotic affirmations may be used to deepen relaxation, support inner observation and explore beliefs, emotions or recurring patterns.
Depending on your individual state of being, the practice may include Cosmoenergy channels from ICCF lineage as complementary energetic support for clearing, protection, balance and awareness during the practice. The selected channels depend on the individual focus and what feels most relevant during the session.
For example, the Cosmoenergy channel Hum may be used with an intention of supporting inner calm and mental or emotional balance.
We may also simply tap into higher frequency Cosmic energy or energies that naturally emerge within the practice.
Peace Meditation, Blue Star Visualisation and Environmental Healing
Practices include breathwork, peaceful meditation, grounding, single-pointed focus and we may add Blue Star light visualisation/ environmental healing, unconditional-love sharing or other higher-frequency visualisations.
A session may also draw inspiration from the 5-Minute Peace Meditation for inner and global harmony.
Not every method is used in every appointment. The session is kept focused and the practices are selected according to what is most relevant for your soul during the particular session.

Private Yin Yoga Island Retreat in Estonia: Rest, Creativity and Nature
Saaremaa is a peaceful Estonian island of forests, beaches, quiet villages and nearby spas—a place where the pace of ordinary life naturally begins to soften.
This is not a group retreat with a fixed programme. It is a private one-to-one experience created around your present state, energy, needs and capacity. A longer stay allows time to breathe, rest, observe honestly and step away from the environments, habits and constant stimulation that may be keeping the mind and body in the same repetitive patterns.
Individually adapted Yin Yoga may be combined with meditation, higher-consciousness visualisation, Cosmoenergy, QHHT or Higher Consciousness Hypnosis. The practice can remain quiet and inward, or it may open into creativity, laughter, movement and simple everyday experiences that help restore contact with life.
Creative meditation may include upcycling clothes, knitting, working with colour or making something slowly by hand. Art is not approached as performance or something that must be beautiful. It becomes a way to focus the mind, express what cannot always be explained and experience the quiet satisfaction of creating without pressure.
Time in nature may include walking by the sea, sitting among trees, connecting with plants and flowers, gathering seasonal herbs or edible plants, and using them in simple cooking or natural teas where suitable. These ordinary experiences can become part of the meditation: touching, smelling, tasting, observing and returning attention to what is directly present.
Humour, playfulness and laughter are essential for lightness in life. Deep healing does not always need to feel serious. Laughter interrupts fixed inner patterns.
The retreat may offer complementary support during burnout-related exhaustion or for people who are already engaged in addiction recovery and are medically stable.
Dorit’s wider perspective on meditation, energy, awareness and recurring harmful patterns is explored in Holistic Addiction Recovery: Breaking the Trance and Healing the Aura.
The intention is not to construct a new identity or become a “better version” of yourself. It is to create enough quiet, space and honesty for what is false, exhausting or no longer needed to become visible and to experience what remains when there is less pressure to perform, escape or continuously occupy the mind.
These practices do not replace medically supervised detoxification, medication management, emergency care or professional addiction and mental-health treatment when these are necessary. Anyone experiencing severe or medically risky withdrawal symptoms should receive appropriate clinical care, which the retreat may complement where suitable.
Questions About Private Yin Yoga, Chakras and Higher Frequencies
Q1. How can I quiet a restless mind?
You do not need to know how to meditate before beginning. Conscious breathing, mantra or single-pointed focus may help the mind become less scattered. Sometimes one position is enough; sometimes several Yin positions are used at yin practice with Dorit.
Q2. How can I check which chakras need attention?
During an in-person session in Amsterdam, Dorit may use a singing bowl, crystals or other energetic practices for a chakra check-in.
This is a spiritual and energetic exploration, not a medical assessment.
Q3. Can I connect with Earth’s sacred sites without travelling?
Yes. Focused meditation and higher-consciousness visualisation may be used to explore connection with the Earth’s energetic portals without physically visiting them.
Dorit's session may focus on a particular sacred site or allow the most relevant connection to emerge naturally.
Q4. How can I connect with higher-frequency energy?
Dorit's yin session may open into cosmic rays, angelic frequencies, Cosmoenergy channels, heart-centred visualisation or another frequency that feels relevant to your soul.
The experience is approached through awareness and direct observation rather than being forced.
